Passed Down Through Generations

Thanks to Mexican farmers, the beauty of diverse corn keep flowing over time.

We are grateful for receiving this corn seeds from our friends in Mexico with their blessing to bring them as a gift to Japan.

Diversity:
It's Beauty and Richness

This corn has not been genetically modified (non-GMO) and has not been hybridized (non-F1).

Each corn has its own genetics just like people. They are all individual, original in size, thickness, color and alignment of the grains.

Mexican Heirloom
Corn Farm
in Japan

We farm in cooperation with the people of our village in two different ways:

Zero Tillage, Rain Feed, Chemical-Free, and Open Pollination.

We received seeds from people in the Mazatecan mountains of Oaxaca.

They taught us this ancient technique called Milpa that avoids soil disturbance to preserve the living ecosystem inside.

It’s a harmonious collaboration between nature and corn farming that gives naturally beautiful results.

Herbicide and Pesticide Free, Open-Pollination Corn Farming

We received other seeds from Mixteca highlands of Oaxaca, that have been grown with modern farming techniques.

Preserving the diversity of corn genetics is of great importance, and this agricultural methods may help us to bring this special corn to more folks.
